A great initiative! Keep up the good work. I was based at Laarbruch 1983-86 on 16 Squadron, Tornado GR1. Flt Lt Rod Hawkins was tasked to look after me on the GR1. The picture shows us together on one of the early trips we had in 1983. I will come and visit sometime. My son Tom graduates today at RAF Cranwell as a pilot - on 16 Squadron. played football for the station i lived in wemb
then moved to the new flats in goch had a great
time there

Hallo RAF Museum Laarbruch,ich wollte mich nur nochmal für den super Empfang am 02.11.2011, in Eurem Museum bedanken. Der Kuchen war sehr lecker, die Ausstellung einfach unbeschreiblich und immer wieder ein Besuch wert. I served at Laarbruch from 72 -73. I was the 1st Dental Hygienist there. I met and married Mick Jalland from 2 Sqn. Mick died in 93. Have great memories from Laarbruch, best posting ever.

From RAF Buckeburg (Command Mod Unit), was I in 1957 September to Laarburch posted. In 1959 January, was there another posting and that to the RAF HQ at Munchen-Gladbach. Then in March, to RAF Tern Hill. To cut a long story sensibly short, in 1966 September, went I "up" to Brighton. Then in 1976. to New Zealand. Photo shows the "boss". Hi Steve,habe mir nach dem Gespräch mit Dir die website angeschaut, bin vorher irgenwie immer daran "vorbei geschliddert". Claudia und ich werden Euch am kommenden Mittwoch Nachmittag besuchen. Posted to Laarbruch in 1969 from Wildenrath when 17 Sqdn. disbanded. Served with 3 Sqdn who operated the BI-8.Oldest son Simon born in at Wegburg and brought home to Laarbruch in 1970. Lost my best friend Kim Petty-Fitzmaurice in a flying accident. |
