APRIL 2009 ACTIVITIESTo our dear sponsors and all those who take their time to visit our website. We wish to thank you for your time and your generosity towards helping the orphan children and giving them hope and courage to face the life. Through your kind giving we have been able to do the following in the month of April, 2009. FOOD DISTRIBUTION. We have been to distribute food for our 41 children whereby each child receive 10 kilogram maize, 10 kilogram rice and 10 kilogram beans. To go for two months since we cannot be able to give every month as it would be our wish but since we don’t have enough finance we are forced to give them the amount to go for two months. Although it seems less the food is received with a lot of thanks by the children and their guidance since there is nothing with comes from their small land so the food is seen by them as a drop of water in a desert. And all that is because of your contribution. SCHOOL FEES We are also able to pay school fees for the children which are in Secondary School and those who are in colleges. We have 2 children in secondary school and 3 in colleges. It is our wish that we can be able to give the children the best we can to give them a better future and help them overcome the challenges which they encounter in their day to day life. We are also able to buy a wheel chair for one of your disabled child which will help his body parts to be little bit active. CHALLENGES We are faced with lack of enough money due to high cost of education and food in the country since the economy is not good. I is our prayer that we will have more sponsors who are God chosen to help with money so that we can be able to help the children as at the moment we will not be able to distribute the food in the month of June do to lack of money or we will be forced to give half of the quantity depending on what we can be able to buy. We request you to kindly support us so that we can be able to meet the needs of the children. DECEMBER AND JANUARY 2008- 2009 ACTIVITIES:First I wish to thank all our sponsors who has made it happen and who has been so generous and kind with us. May God bless and Cherish you all. FOOD DISTRIBUTION ON 30TH DECEMBER, 2008. Since we know that in God all things are possible and He is the provider of all the distribution was started by a Holy Mass conducted by Father Harman Kiboi of Catholic Church Nyeri Dioces. Each child received 16 kilograms of Maize, Beans, and Rice. It was our wish to give more as the area is exprience a high rate of famine but due to finacial problems we managed to give the above amount which was received by the children and their guidance with a very happy and thanks giving faces. We intend to give them more food possibly begining of February, this year. UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION 3RD JANUARY, 2009 We gave the children school uniforms every starting of an year and on the particular day we distributed 35 school uniforms for the primary and 2 secondary school children since 4 children had done their class 8 examination and were waiting for their results to join form one. SCHOOL FEES: We had to pay for school fees for the 2 children in high school and 3 in polytechnic undertaking varios cources such as Mechanic, Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy Diploma, and Dressmaiking and Tailoring courses. All the students in cources will receive certificates after the complision of the courses. We have disabled boy who attend special children school and we had to buy wheel chair for him as we try to make all the children equall and to give them the feeling of love and belonging and equality among themselves. SCHOOL VISITS We visit the children in thier respectieve schools to monitor their progress and also to motivate them to work hard. We enquire information form class teachers and the headteachers about the children hence working hand in hand with the school and hence creat good atmosphere and a condusive envernment for learning to the children. VISIONS It's our wish to give the children the best and to provide good and responsible citizen who will be productive for our country and the whole world. We wish to provide the children with light facilities so as they will be able to do their studies well and we have notied that most of the guadines cannot aford to buy paraffine which the children use to study. we wish to thank all those who has helped us financially and spiritually to support the children and we request more well wisheres to help us finacially to make the future of the children better and give them hope.
