It was fun to read the old comments! I did not go to North Dakota - I went to the University of Arkansas in 2008 for my PhD, which I am finishing this summer. I have a tenure-track job at Marywood University in Scranton, PA starting this fall. I am looking forward to teaching more advanced classes and students than I have before. I also have a line of research on how we exclude others from fairness and justice that I will be developing there.

Hi All,I am almost done with my PhD, hopefully within 2007. I am currently busy with lots of industrial projects, and traveling a lot. For the past 2.5 months, I have been living in Sweden, and will be back in Vancouver in mid-June before I go to Japan. I might be visiting where you live now so keep the forum active! |

Hmmm... It has been some time since I was in Vancouver. 2 years? I think so. I am glad to see what the other movie makers have been up to.I am an instructor of Psychology for Portland Community College, but not for much longer. I'll be enrolling in a PhD program to "finish" my PhD. It'll be in a place not nearly as desirable as Vancouver, though -- North Dakota! COOOOLD in the winter; HOT in the summer, and windy all the time. But - 3 or 4 years and I'll be moving on to a Tenure-Track job (hopefully!). I'll be studying the psychological processes in conflict resolution. Specifically, mediation (at least for now). Fun? well, this summer I'm not teaching, so maybe I'll try to get on up to Vancouver! |

Thanks again Oliver for keeping us connected! I am still working on my PhD, now at the Australian National University in Canberra. New venue/supervisor meant a new topic as well, but still basically about the International Criminal Court. Scholarship funding has proven elusive here as in Canada, so I've also been doing some teaching and research to stay alive. For 2007 I am the Resident Fellow in Law at Burton & Garran Hall, ANU (an undergraduate residence) - makes me miss SJC!

Hi Oliver,Thanks for putting this together! Yeah, was thinking of Francesco when Italy pulled down the World Cup - especially against France. I had watched with him in the SJC TV room the heartbreak of Italy losing the European championship to France on a golden goal. Since January, 2006 I've been advisor to management of large nature reserve in central Laos. It's a 6 year project, and good gig for me. Very interesting work, but I'm contracted only about 8 months/year, so time for other things. Friend of mine and I recently started an Asia-based environmental consulting firm, which is going well. Best to you, and all Johanneans who might read this. The following picture has been added to this guestbook entry: Bild |

Hi Oliver,Wonderful to see you are still 'on to' the St John's project. I am still at Newcastle University in Australia teaching, and researching natural products chemistry. My stay in Vancouver in 2002 has inspired me to return to Canada (particularly the Rockies) more often. Ergo I have been through Vancouver in June/July for a few days each of the last 3 years and am planning to visit again this year. Anyone for a week walking in the mountains?? cheers, Ian |
