Examples to my rebuttal: Examples why Europe isn't that united: - Reaction of romania joining the EU. Many people feared also the goof old days of their wealthy "western society" were doomed, as they thought gypsies and Romanian mafia to suppress autochthons and their culture. They also argued, they had nothing in common with Romanians. (I think I don't have to mention what I think about this) - different values and also points of view towards religious topic: France has a laicistic state like Turkey. Germany and some other states refuse strictly to get really laicistic and as a start to strike off the reference to god.
