| Dear David, i am a vibraphone player from Italy and i would like to ask you what mallets both you and Dave Samuels used in the 70s at the time of Double Image recordings or your Futures Passed and so on. I like the sound. I am actually using your Malletech signature DF16 since 6 years now and they did not wear at all! Great nylon fibre ! But they are quite heavy and if you stop playing for a week , you feel the arms very tired. In addition i think that with the years passing they tend to become a little clanky and more metallic; i prefer a more definite attack, very round like a Gary Burton one or yours and Dave Samuels in the 70's. Have you suggestions? Thank You very much, Cesare Carbonini | |

Hi David, we met in Trento at P.A Percussion Meeting in 98. I'm the Secretary General of P.A.? Do you remember me? Anyway, I'm looking for "Vibraphone Technique" for my pupils here in Trento. The music shop told me that isn't possible to get your method in Italy. Could you help me? Thank you in advance for your time. Sergio Torta <s.torta@tin.it> Trento, Italy - | |

I am performing Nyack on my recital this semester at the University of Central Florida. I was trying to find information about the piece and was hoping that you could answer my questions. How did this piece come about and what was your inspiration for it? Does the city Nyack in New York have anything to do with it? I appreciate your time and thank you in advance for your help.
