| So ... let's see. Everyone here talks about creativity and the ability to deal with other people, of course carina has all these things but i'm pretty sure a lot of people out there have these skills too. no, why carina should get this scholarship has another reason : She's special not only as a friend but as a person and sure not every special thing is a good reason to get a scholarship but many things are... like the ability to make people laugh and smile or show them that you care about them. she can make you mad though but who can't ? and when you're with her you will feel bad for like five seconds until she smiles and you have to smile too. Carina has too many good abilities to name here but i think the most important thing is that she wants it. she wants to learn aaaaaaaall these things that you can learn about this beautiful country. And even though you cant learn all things about it she will try ! And wont stop until she knows every little detail. She is the best decision you can make . But i would miss her pretty bad. Anyways i think she deserves it the most because she even got a website runnin because of this ! She wants it an thats the best reason to get it. | |

Why Carina? Well, Carina is just Carina! She's unique, you won't find a person as cerative, friendly and funny and in a good mood as her. And she really wants it so I really think that she deserves it! I could tell you much more about her good qualities which she really has but most impotant to say is in my opinion that she is a really good friend. And I'm gonna miss her badly. ♥ | |

Well...why Carina? At first I was sad that Carina wants to leave us 7 alone so that we 8 are again only 7 for a year. But then I thought that this scolarship is a great oppurtunity for Carina to learn about the american life and to make new experiences in America. I can imagine her very well in american high school and I think that she will find very fast new friends there because she -is friendly to everyone although she doesn't really know this person -is a very crazy girl -infects everyone with her good mood -helps you when you have problems -has an open ear for your worries You can have very much fun with her because her craziness often infects you and you just have to laugh with her about all possible things.. And so I hope for her that she'll get the stipend for the year in America.. although I'll miss her...!! :) | |

In my opinion America could be grateful if a girl like carina wants to spend a year there :) she totally deserves this scholarship. If i need to describe carina in three words i would say 1. creative (absolutely :D ) 2. talkative 3. honest, she says what she thinks 4. doggedly 5. open for new experiences and interested in new things. ok, those are more than three words, but nevermind :D She is the right person for a year abroad and for this scholarship. she has got everything that you need for a year abroad, she is smart, social, gets along well with new people and she got this great skill to make you smile :) I admire her for having the brave spending year in America. So who could be better than carina for this scholarship? exactly, no one! | |

I think you should definately receive this scholarship in America. Not just because you would learn a lot and it would broadens your mind. But because I consider you an ideal candidate for a year abroad. You have an open and interested mind for anything that is going on around you. You are keen to learn and I know you would love to learn more about life in Amerika. Also you have a caring and friendly personality, so you would make new friends quickly and I can easily picture you in a school team, working in a comittee and engaging in school projects. Furthermore you have a unique character, you do not need anybody to tell you what you like or how thinks should be handled. You can trust your own instincts and I bet you would be just fine, even without your friends and family around you. I know that it is not as easy as it sounds to apply for a scholarship, but I am really proud you have taken this step. I wish you this little bit of luck you might need to get picked, - as I know you already have all other qualities. | |

American just love to get to know new people which... ...are open minded for their country, ...bring some crazyness to them they don't know, ...are as friendly as they are, ...are really interested in getting a chance to stay there. In my opinion, the best 3 characteristics of the American people are their conviction that anything is possible, their willingness to persevere through difficult times and their compassion and empathy for others around the world. All this characteristics has carina in quantities... She belongs to the country and she dreams of this big step to go there, so she is really the one who deserved it...! | |

Carina, when you entered the world as a baby, you kept each people, vou met, as a prisoner, because from the first moment of your life you owned a lot of charm. Now you are a teenager and Iam happy to see that charm is not the salient feature of your personality. I enjoy having a look on your development. There is a great social competition you own and to live with you is for each people - friends-teacher-family- profitable. You also are very creative and it takes much pleasure to hear you playing the guitar. The hobby you most enjoy is the photography and i am very impressed by the photos you take. They show that there is a person which is really interested in other human beings and the environment they live. You are a girl that is able to exsist far away from your familiar surroundings. Although i shall miss you very much if you leave germany and your home for a year, but it is my firm conviction that you will be a very good ammbassador for your native country. Well, you've been my tutor kid for only about
half a year, but since then i've learned
quite a bit about you. You are really friendly and open, always up for a laugh (and if it's a pity laugh, because my joke are really not that funny) and always busy doing something with friends and family (and horses). We got along right away and it's always been fun tutoring you. I find you to be pretty mature for your age. Since I only know you in school and as a student, i see that you have a really good attitude towards learning. Some kids get a tutor because their parents tell them to but you really seem to actually like improving your English, which makes me, as a huge fan of the English language, really happy  When you set your eyes on going abroad you started working for it really hard. I know myself how much work it is to apply for all these different programs. I really believe, as a former exchange student, that you have the right attitude and motives for a year abroad. Also I think that you will profite enormously from this year, not only language wise, but also character wise. Good luck, girl! Hannah | |

First I thought: "OMG, do not leave me alone in this crazy town. With who should I go for a (always very interesting) walk at the evening? With who should I talk english - and bug the others - in the bus? Who would be responsible for my good mood? Who would palaver me in this lovely way, that conjures my bad mood away?" But I think it's time to break with traditions and start a new age. The time has come for conversations on Skype about the american lifestyle. And there's no other one, with who I would preferably do this, than you :) It's time, to show the Americans, that german women can also be crazy, freaked out and talkative like you... And I think when you come back to good old Germany, we can bug the others only more :D So I would say, you're the best scoring for one year in America... I'll miss you :* | |
