I always thought that Jim Davis should have gotten his own show - a wester. There was something very likeable about the guy and he had a very impressive career.

I have always like Jim Davis. Great actor with a very distinguished voice. Liked him in Dallas, commercials he made and movies and TV shows he was in.

I'm looking for a picture from the Dallas series of Jock Ewing on his horse in the series (a grey mare). I own this horse and she is still alive today, but very old. Would love to have a picture of her from then to put on a memorial before we lose her.

Jim Davis was a true character actor. Whatever part he played that was his true character. Jim Davis was Jock and he could not have played a better part. Jim was my Uncle and my mother's brother. He was a tough and rough guy and the way he was on TV was the way he truly was in real life.

Wanted to let you know, I've found a web site. On this web site are many of the old western movies from the 30's on into the 60's. They also have the Stories of the Century series, 37 episodes. Thought you'd like to know.

I think Jim Davis wikipedia is sorely lacking. I remember him in Rio Bravo, a John Wayne movie from the late 50s or early 60s. I particularly remember him in Rescue 8. I think I was about 4 or 5 when it was on TV. Although he will always be remembered for Dallas, he had a much bigger carrer.
