Jim Davis was a true character actor. Whatever part he played that was his true character. Jim Davis was Jock and he could not have played a better part. Jim was my Uncle and my mother's brother. He was a tough and rough guy and the way he was on TV was the way he truly was in real life.

Wanted to let you know, I've found a web site. On this web site are many of the old western movies from the 30's on into the 60's. They also have the Stories of the Century series, 37 episodes. Thought you'd like to know.

I think Jim Davis wikipedia is sorely lacking. I remember him in Rio Bravo, a John Wayne movie from the late 50s or early 60s. I particularly remember him in Rescue 8. I think I was about 4 or 5 when it was on TV. Although he will always be remembered for Dallas, he had a much bigger carrer.
